Description: After several kilometres on various roads, the trail follows old paths, sometimes up on boulder ridges. Here you head into some remote wilderness, the occasion cabin and house, but miles from the nearest shop or restaurant. You’ll want to fill up in Knäred before you leave! Towards the end it crosses two rivers – first the Krokån and then the Lagan immediately after. The Lagan is the southernmost river in Halland, and is also popular for canoeing. Between the Gårdshult Nature Reserve and Bjärsahult, the trail follows along a moraine ridge, mostly covered in pinewoods. There are large, seemingly endless marshes on both sides, in one of southern Sweden’s largest wetland areas. Next the trail runs mostly through pinewoods, passes the Harsprångsledning power line, and continues through mixed forest to reach the heather-covered moor in Mästocka. The moor is a remnant of the extensive heath area that covered large parts of Halland in the past. You may encounter moose or deer during this remote section.Night Five Tallhöjden Hotel Cabins
