Some of the best SUP paddling in Halmstad starts 50 metres from our shop. The Nissan river flows quietly through the heart of the city, past the library, under the bridges, and out towards the harbour — calm, flat water that’s perfect for stand up paddleboarding whether you’ve done it a hundred times or never picked up a paddle in your life.
Family Package: Book 3 boards and get the 4th free!

We’ve partnered with Kitekalle, Halmstad’s most established water sports outfitter, to bring high quality SUP boards right to our doorstep on Strandgatan. No need to drive out to the coast or rent for a full day if you don’t want to — just walk down to the river and get on the water.
Why paddle the Nissan
The river is sheltered, slow-moving and easy to read, which makes it ideal for beginners and families. You’ll glide past the green copper roof of our shop, under the city bridges, with views of the library building suspended over the water and the open green spaces of Picassoparken along the bank. It’s a completely different way to see central Halmstad — quiet, slow, and from the water rather than the street. Stop at one of the many riverside cafes to have a truly memorable Swedish Fika experience, like no other!
For more experienced paddlers, you can head further out towards where the Nissan opens into the harbour and the sea beyond, with longer routes possible if you want to make a proper session of it.
How it works
Boards are available right outside the shop. No booking required for casual sessions — just show up, grab a board, and we’ll get you set up. If you’d like to guarantee availability, especially on a sunny day, it’s worth booking ahead or giving us a call.
Pricing
First hour: 195 kr
Each additional hour: 100 kr

Boards, paddles and life vests included. We’ll give you a quick safety briefing before you head out, and a few tips if it’s your first time on a board.

Perfect for
A morning paddle before the city wakes up. An afternoon break between bike repairs or rentals. Families looking for something different to do together. Groups celebrating something — birthdays, work outings, or just a good excuse to be on the water. Pair it with a coffee from our machine before or after, or combine it with a bike rental for a full day of Halmstad adventure on land and water.
Good to know
The Nissan is calm and well sheltered, but conditions can change with weather and wind. We’ll always give you an honest read on whether it’s a good day to paddle when you arrive. Swimming ability is recommended. Life vests are provided and we insist that everyone, especially first-timers and children, to wear one.
Boards are limited, so on busy summer days it’s worth checking availability before you commit your afternoon. The earlier in the day, the calmer the water tends to be.
